Allergen Eye Drops are for the relief and treatment of allergic red, watery, itchy and puffy eyes caused by hayfever, house mites and other particles e.g. pet hairs.

When allergens and irritants come in contact with sensitive eyes, chemicals are released within the eye area which can cause them to be itchy, red and watery. Modern lifestyles can cause eyes to be come irritated, dry and tired and Opticrom Allergy Eye Drops can help deliver quick relief from these irritating symptoms.

Before using these eye drops you should wash and dry your hands. Remove the cap from the bottle of drops. Tilt your head back and use your other hand to gently pull down on your lower eyelid, creating a gap between your eye and eyelid. Gently squeeze the bottle of Opticrom eye drops to deposit 1 – 2 drops into the gap below your lower lid, then close your eye to spread the drops evenly across its surface. Use a tissue to wipe away any excess drops from around your eye. For best results, use 1 – 2 drops in each eye four times a day.

You should not use Opticrom Allergy eye drops if you wear soft contact lenses. These eye drops can contain benzalkonium chloride, which can change the colour of your contact lenses.

Your vision may become blurry immediately after you use Opticrom Allergy Eye Drops. This is normal and will usually pass quite quickly. If this happens to you, you should not attempt to drive or use any tools or machinery until your vision has cleared and you?re sure that you are safe to do so.

If you?re pregnant or breastfeeding you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using Opticrom eye drops. This product may not be suitable for you at the moment so you should only use it if told to by a medical professional.

Store in a cool, dry place which is below 30 degrees C. Keep the bottle of drops inside the original packaging to protect from light. Do not use this product if the expiry date printed on the original packaging has passed. Once opened use within 4 weeks. Keep out of sight and reach of children.

  • The active substance is sodium cromoglicate. Each single-dose container contains 2% w/v of sodium cromoglicate.
  • The other ingredients are sodium chloride and purified water.
